What do you think? How does it compare to the first?
Our next issue is going to come out on March 20th with is also the last day of the second trimester.
We must have this issue done by March 16th.
I am hoping to start laying out investigave feature pages ASAP since they are due today. I was thinking this 3rd issue would only be 12 pages, but I'm now thinking with the help of the foundations class, we can probably do 16 if not 20.
The foundations class is working on editorial and our class will be working on Sports. More to follow on this in class today.

I think this issue had interesting topics than the first, and there seemed to be more student appeal, such as the survey, and the article on sneaker trading, as I saw people reading it a lot. There were a lot of sidebars and I liked how the Entertainment section had quotes from people on the outside of the articles in shaded boxes. It was original, and there were more shaded boxes for me to look at for additional information. Less typos of course, but they are still there, and some of the lines on the top, weren't the same thickness on other pages.My only frustration in this class, is trying to get to every section, to see what they are doing, if it is Indesign, and recently my USB things are getting completely deleted, so I must remember to save my work in many places. I have no problem with Indesign, it seems to get better every time.
There's more much improvement to the 2nd issue and hopefully there'll be even more improvement around the 3rd go around. The paper looked more organized, everything was in order, and the little details that were not equal to each other from last issue were corrected, making it look really great. There's definintely more student voice due to the entertainment section and the feature section was the most impressive to me! Definitely got my attention and other students from the class as well. Less typos, which makes life a bit easier and the paper looks more creative which lets the students know that we are willing to write about what's important and fun to them :)
This issue is definitly better then the last. I comepletely agree with Anastasia there are definitly more interesting article to look at and practicly no typos. I wish I saw people reading it but I didnt, sadly, but im pretty sure they took the time to do so. As for the teachers voice, I am very pleased to see that and would love to see more of the teacher voice put in. As for my frustrations personally, it's just with finding a balance between the work needed to be done in time for the deadlines and keeping up the rest of grades in the other subjects. As for frustrations with the newspaper, it's just finding an easier way to deal with Indesign. It seems that I just take to long with it. But after that extra class, I think that I can handle using Indesign and not spend to much time on it.
I just first wanted to say something I didn't get to in class. the whole school besides our class, and a few others think our newspaper is a joke. Nobody reads it, people make fun of it, and its a little aggravating. I think people really need to start stepping up their game, including me, so that we can show people were not a joke. we can be a real newspaper class, and have a great paper.
I think this paper was so much better than the last. There was more wjps related stories. To me, it wasn't just a bunch of articles strewn together, it flowed, and made sense, and was consistent, each top of the page looked like the next, the fonts were almost all the same. There were a few errors, but I know some people had recognized them, but couldn't actually fix them because they deleted there indesign files.
Overall I think this issue was really good, we just need to work harder and the distribution of work needs to be evened out. I thought it was really funny how everyone loved my sneaker article. That was one of the most talked about and read article, i think we can learn from that, for feature and other sections, we need to write about things that interest our students and really draw their attention.

i think that this 2nd issue was better then the last one, But we still need more improvement for the 3rd issue. What i think as a class we should all check our articles because thats one of the biggest mastakes were making. I was actuly more happy this time because i saw more students from wjps readin the blazer even teachers. I got alot of comments from my friends saying we did a better job. But i still think out work needs to improve more.
This isuue had more interesting topics on the school. Other stuff aslo outside the school. I liked the head line of the news paper well not the headline the font on the cover where it say "Blazer". This newspaper also had alot more side bars than the 1st issue of the paper. Which is what you asked for & people did do that. The hard part for me is using indesighn on the computer so i gotta get the hang of that. I should also now put more facts in my story.
I think the second issue of the paper was an improvement. There was the one mistake of printing one article twice but apart from that we improved. There is alwayz more room for more improvment and more interesting articles.

Well for one thing i think this issue deffinately had differences then the first for better and for worse.
Better- Vocab was not as big as an issue at all as the first one.
better articles, more of them too. Also a few more people were involved in this one then in the last one. we did miss dead line but not as far as we did for the first one.
For worse- or laying out at least for my section was confusing i had a ready done page that didnt go in which i really got disapointed in. I think it definately would have been different if we all met deadlines and different sections checked other sections work.
Indesign is starting to become easier then it started but the thing i am confused about was that i dont think we need that many people laying out only like a few pages like for instince a group of 7 doesnt need to lay out 3 pages unless its dramaticlly needed i think people should take turns this time 4 people b the eyes and correctors and others layout and then viseversa.
i think that the second issue showed much imporvement from the seccond. There were still mistakes that need to be corrected and looked over before print but i feel that we learned a lot a grew from our first issue. The third issue should be even better as we contiually work out all the kinks and bumps. We also still need to work out or time better so there is less rushing. i feel this is still a big issue. Over all issue number two was a lot better than the first.

i felt that the secound issue of the newspaper was good because we fixed problems that were in the first one such as really bad spelling problems and the layout of the pages were messed up. in this one we had good story's and we had also added stories that 7 and 8 th graders had written so everyone had a contributed to the newspaper in some way. so i would say that we are heading in the write direction and we just need to keep doing what we are doing

I thought that the second issue had a lot of interesting topics that were written about. There was a big improvement between the 1st and 2nd issue. I think we have to improve on our writing and to skip the spelling mistakes.
I think that it was more interesting than the first issue because it had a lot more interesting articles than the first and there wasn`t as many errors in this issue , i only noticed two. I also think that the sidebars made the paper more interesting. I enjoyed reading it =)

this issue will deffinetly be better then the last one. we have more interesting topics this time and in the last issue we made many mistakes but this time everybody knows to revise their work better so i think it shouldnt be a problem at all.
